Who ever wins the Power of Veto is allowed to save one of the houseguests nominated for eviction. This could be themselves if they are nominated- The HOH must then choose another person to nominate.
It is good and bad- because if you save someone you are also putting a target on your back - which is why few use it unless they are the ones nomimated (in which case it is literally a life saver)
