"There is nothing sexy about blood, guts and bathing suits"
I must say that while it was a very good episode I feel totally JIPPED by the end of tonight's Big Brother. Why? Because it ended at least 6 minutes early! I know there was a lot of good stuff between the HoH competition and nomination ceremony that they could have used to fill up the gap of time. As a BB fan I wish we could have seen just 3-4 more minutes of the show. Oh well...not much I can do about it. Maybe they cut it short for a scheduled news break that was going to be occurring on the West Coast...so that all the folks on that side of the country wouldn't miss anything...that is what I choose to believe!
So onto the show! It started out with a little recap of Jen and Parker getting evicted and Chelsia and James winning the HoH competition. As expected Ryan stated that him not leaving the house was bittersweet because Jen did leave, and that now he was playing for the both of them. A little hint Ryan, don't tell the other house guests that because if by chance you get to the final two NO ONE will vote for you.
And we got to hear other comments from the peanut gallery...er I mean house guests:
Amanda is sad because the only people in the house that she liked and that liked her are gone. Sad but true.
Alex is only happy that they are out because now he has a direct line to Amanda's affections.
Allison is still delusional and is happy Jen is gone because now she and Ryan can build their relationship.
Sheila is relieved that Allison is still in the house.
Matt says that the game has now begun. States that the sexiest girl in the house has left and that the person he most relates to, meaning Parker, is gone.
After the HoH competition it is clear that Amanda and Alex are not happy. Amanda knows that after the encounter that she had with Chelsia that she will be put up on the block. Alex knows that because of Amanda he is going to be nominated. Amanda is as dramatic as always stating that she "threw up in her mouth" when Chelsia and James won. Natalie on the other had is very relieved because she doesn't believe that Chelsia and James will target her and Josh while Allison believes that Chelsia trusts her since she let her in on the lesbian lover secret, and won't put her on the block.
After the HoH competition the reality of no cups in the house sinks in leaving some of the house guests disgusted as they drink out of bowls "like dogs". Chelsia and James discuss the nominations with Matt and give him their word that they will not put him and Natalie on the block. Elsewhere in the house Josh is filling in Sharon on the Allison and Sheila twist. After she gets control of her laughter they start plotting to get rid of Sheila and Allison.
Back in the HoH room we are introduced to Chelsia and James' family and real life through pictures of pet cats, mothers and sisters. James mentions how he has been on the road for 9 months and hasn't seen any pictures of his family so that it is really nice to see them now. Chelsia started squealing and picked up some fushia looking thing that I think she called her "blankie".
Later on James is outside talking to Ryan and Adam and decides to let him in on his plan. They are calling it "Operation Condor" and the goal is to remove the top line of house guests, from the picture wall, from the house first. Jen and Parker are gone and Amanda and Alex are next in line. The three guys discuss who should be put up as a pawn against Alex and Amanda. Ryan says that he doesn't want to be on the block again this week and James agrees that he shouldn't' be. Adam says that he doesn't want to be because it is the pawns that often get sent home. All three guys are very excited about being apart of "Operation Condor" and are certain it will be a success. See this video of the boys discussing OC and the lesbian lovers, Allison and Sheila! (Not seen on the show tonight!)
Amanda decided that she should pull Josh aside and talk to him. She tells him that she knows he didn't mean everything he said to which he has very little visible response. Makes you wonder if he DID mean it. She says she forgives him and he then apologizes. She decides to try to make a secret alliance with him because after all no one will ever suspect it...she is
probably correct in that assumption. It seems that Josh goes along with it, telling her that she better not screw him over.
Natalie admits that she has feelings for Matt and that he causes butterflies for her that she didn't know she still could have. He makes her think "naughty" thoughts. She tries to get him to join her in the bath to which he refuses. He tells her that they could have sex but that he won't do it and he tells us that he can not let romance interfere with his game play.
The home viewers were then privy to Allison opening up her big mouth again. She discusses and somehow convinces Sheila that they should tell Chelsia and Josh that the "lesbian lovers" story was a joke and that it isn't true. Sheila is clearly disturbed by this decision afraid that it will put a target on their heads for lying. She was right and Allison should have listened to the much older and wiser Sheila. They do tell Chelsia who admits that she told James. They tell James who is shocked. Allison goes and tells Josh who is just pissed. Chelsia, James and Josh end up discussing it together and all agree that Sheila and Allison can not be trusted. It will be interesting to watch the next few weeks to see how this plays out.
Finally we had a fun, but incredibly messy (and stinky!) competition on BB9! Today was the first food competition where the winning team would get to eat well while the losing team would be on slop for a week. The game was called, "What A Catch!" and was made up of two teams called "Sea" duction" and Dev "ocean". "Sea" duction comprised of Josh and Sharon, Matt and Natalie, and Ryan and Allison. They were also considered the yellow team and they wore yellow bathing suits. Dev "ocean" was made up of the remaining three pairs Sheila and Adam, Chelsia and James and Alex and Amanda. They were the green team.
The point of the game was to fill the opposing teams nets with as many dead fish as you could, as fast as you could. The last team holding a net would be the winning team. Pretty simple. The catch? The team filling the nets would be wading around in water full of dead, bloody fish. The yellow teams was smart and decided that the men, who were clearly stronger would hold the nets up while the women would fill the other teams nets with the fish. The green team however split it up a bit and had James, Adam and Amanda holding the nets while their partners went fishing.
Surprisingly Ryan was the first one to let go in the game. The yellow team was not discouraged though and the ladies go after James on the green team, quickly filling his net and knocking him out of the game. Amanda says she is having a hard time and the yellow team targets her, quickly knocking her out. The green team is able to knock out Matt leaving Adam on the green team and Josh on the yellow team the only ones holding the net. It doesn't take long before the yellow team is able to fill up Adams net and he is forced to let go making the yellow team the winners and putting MOST of the green team on a diet of slop. Don't forget that since they are HoH Chelsia and James are not subjected to slop leaving just Adam, Sheila, Amanda and Alex on slop. Hmmm...strategy maybe?
After all the fish blood and guts who doesn't need a little comic relief! The show editors were pleased to make us all laugh with Amanda's version of Spanish where "hello" is pronounced "bueno". The editors also showed us clips of all the house guests making fun of her. Everyone seems to think Amanda is really dumb. I wonder if anyone remembers a player named Janelle...didn't everyone think she was dumb too?
Finally the juicy stuff! James admits that he has feelings for Chelsia but it seems as if Chelsia is a bit shy. James gets into bed and she sits on the chair and asks him if he is going to bed. He says yes and asks if she will join him. After some pushing and prodding she finally gets up and gets into bed. It looks like he rolls over and she asks him if he is "going to bed" and he states, "Isn't that what happens now?" She tells him no, and they begin making out. Chelsia tells the cameras that she is developing feelings for James and that he is growing on her.
Later James is having a conversation with Matt where he assures him that the nominations will be a shock but that he wouldn't nominate him without telling him. Matt seems to believe him. We get to hear Amanda state that she knows she is going to be put up on the block because her and Alex are good competitors and smart. Natalie and Matt feel completely safe. Adam is worried about going up as a pawn, Sheila is worried that telling the truth could get her targeted and Alex is still sceptical because of Amanda.
The nominations are in. First couple safe was Sheila and Adam, followed by Josh and Sharon and Allison and Ryan. This leaves Natalie an Matt sharing the nomination with Amanda and Alex. Chelsia and James try to explain to Natalie and Matt how they put them up because they are the strongest couple in the house and they need them to win POV so that Amanda and Alex are evicted. Natalie doesn't seem upset and takes it as a compliment while Matt is pissed at James and swears that next week he will be coming after him. Chelsia tells Amanda that all she has done was talk behind peoples back and that if Amanda had a problem with Chelsia she should have told her face to face. Amanda promises to fight with every ounce of blood, sweat and tears to win the POV competition, while Alex promises to stand by her and not give up.
