The Joshua tree finally gets cut down... |
You know how they say "what goes around comes around" or "you get what you deserve?". I'd say this was definitely the case tonight with Joshua's eviction off Big Brother 9. Since Matty left Joshua seemed to have taken his place in the Top Asshole category and apparently everyone was sick of it!
Gotta give props to Josh though, he really tried hard to stay in the game. His campaigning looked pretty promising too! Tonight was one of the first episodes where I honestly had no idea who was going to go! The HG's kept changing their minds about who they were going to vote off. But in the end it was Josh's turn to meet Julie Chen in person and get stowed away in the Jury House.

The show tonight typically started out with a recap of last night's show and James' big win at the VETO competition. Josh had asked Natalie to be the tie-breaker which Natalie agreed to. But this episode resumed with Natalie saying that she DID NOT want to the be the tie-breaker and "the executioner of Sharon". So we began this episode with uncertainty. If Natalie decides to not be the tie breaker then that means that someone has to be the third vote of either Josh or Sharon. This left it up to Natalie to convince one more person to vote off Josh. Who did she convince? More on that in a bit!
Josh admitted tonight that he wasn't sure if Natalie would keep her word about being the tie-breaker. He may be an asshole but he's not stupid! So in the end he did what he knows how to do best - he turned into a DRAMA QUEEN! He decided to rope Adam into voting for Sharon by putting on the waterworks in the kitchen over his plate of slop. Knowing Adam would walk in, he began to sob uncontrollably in a very embarrassing manner. He really went overboard and even made Adam teary-eyed. I think Josh is a good judge of character though because he knows that Adam is really a softy and like to take care of people. I felt really bad for Adam! Josh made him look so gullible but I have to say that Joshes acting was very convincing...if Big Brother were a SOAP OPERA! Otherwise it was waaaaaaay over the top and any smart person wouldn't have bought it (sorry Adam, you're a really nice guy!).
So Josh was pretty much convinced that he gained a vote from Adam, especially when he said "you're the only one I think I can turn to" and Adam said "I'm here for you buddy". BLAH! All of these promises make the lies seem that much more obvious.
In the HOH room Nat told Sharon of Josh's plan to get her voted off. Sharon couldn't believe her ears and was visually hurt but also looked a bit relieved to know that she can fight for herself and not feel guilty for it. Natalie and Sharon decided to tell Sheila and they declared the game "A Battle of the Sexes"! Well if that's the truth it will make the rest of the show very interesting!
Natalie then talked to Ryan and they all agreed to make Josh believe that he is staying in the house when really all of them are going to vote him off. What Natalie doesn't know at the time is that Adam had been convinced by Josh to keep in in the house. I was worried for a moment that she would overlook Josh's ability to campaign for himself but Natalie isn't as dumb as she looks! She ended up calling Adam into the HOH and told him of their plans. Adam agreed that it was the best thing for the house to vote Josh off because as Natalie said "Josh and James together means that we're all screwed".
Sharon seemed happy with this plan too and rightly so! Josh just couldn't keep his mouth shut and told James that "Sharon needs to go. I'm tired of babysitting her". What a two-timing Q-U-E-E-N!
When Julie finally got everyone on the couch and asked Josh how hard it's been to campaign against Sharon, he cemented his double-crossing tendencies when he said that he can't go after Sharon because he loves her too much! What a LIAR!
There was a quick interlude showing Josh's parents and they said that Josh isn't normally as mean as he appears in the show. Let's hope so or else this guy will be sad and alone his whole life!
When it came time to the vote, Natalie was asked who she thinks is her closest ally and she said Ryan. It will be interesting to see if sticks by her like she thinks he will!
This eviction ceremony was really the first one where we didn't know who was going to go! But in the end James was the only one who voted for Sharon to be evicted. Josh seemed inwardly shocked that it was his time to leave and almost refused hugs from everyone in the house, but eventually accepted bittersweet goodbyes from Sharon and James.
After Josh's send off was the HOH ceremony "More or Less". After making the HG's guess on the number of items in the house, Adam was awarded the HOH title with a score of 5! Sharon and Ryan did not look very happy in the background and were even whispering things into each other's ears. Maybe they're afraid that they will be the next two on the block? I guess we'll have to wait until Sunday to see...unless you get the live feeds and see for yourself!
