Tonight was the night we have been waiting for, the scoop on what really happened to Amanda and Allison, the POV competition and the POV ceremony! BB definitely did not disappoint with this editing. They even through in an extra temper tantrum to help keep us all entertained.
We begin with more feedback from the nomination ceremony. Amanda is not surprised that she is nominated because they want to take out the stronger players. Alex places 75% of the blame on Amanda. Later Amanda tries to talk to him and he blows her off, telling her that he needs time alone and that he doesn't' want to get mad at her in front of everyone. She respects his wishes and backs off. Matt says James is a double crosser and that he must go down. "I made a deal with the devil and the devil double crossed me." James states that he does not feel bad at all, after all, this IS Big Brother.
Don't miss a second of the action in the Big Brother house with the CBS.com live 24/7 feeds.
As the house guests settle down, we grab a bag of popcorn and sit back to watch the show. Allison seems to be having fun and spending time with everyone in the house but Sheila. Matt and Amanda point this out to Sheila and she becomes extremely jealous. States that she trusts her gut and that Allison betrayed her. Sheila takes Allison aside, tells her how she feels and Allison tells her she is being silly. Tells her that she feels like she should be getting to know her partner. Funny how she hasn't been spending any time with Ryan!
Sheila accepts this for now, until later on when she spies Allison grooming Matt, again leaving her out of the fun. Sheila gets to her breaking point and starts venting to Natalie about what a "bitch" Allison is, and starts telling Natalie Allison's secrets...all to the delighted ears of Joshuah. Natalie later says that she is shocked by the things that Sheila said and states that she needs to learn how to keep things in. Sheila then goes off and has much of the same conversation with Matt, which Sharon overhears. Sharon goes running off to tell the other house guests all about it.
Sharon finds most of them, including Allison in the HoH room together. She fills them in and Allison gets mad. Allison decides to confront Sheila. She finds Sheila and Adam in their room (because of the live feeds we know that she was venting to Adam), and asks her what is going on. Sheila whines about how since she got off the block she hasn't needed her or spent time with her. Allison calls her pathetic. Sheila states that Allison owes her and Adam. Ryan then walks in and gets mad at Sheila asking her why she is acting like this. Adam jumps up taking Allison's side and tells Sheila that she is going to get him kicked out of the game. Allison, Ryan and Adam leave the room, leaving Sheila to pout.
On to the POV competition. Chelsia and James announced that it was time to pick the teams and the house guests gathered. They drew Sharon and Joshuah's name out of the hat so the competition would be played by Chelsia and James, Amanda and Alex, Natalie and Matt, and Sharon and Joshuah. Adam was going to be the host.
The competitors all walked outside in colored hard hats. There were poles, barrels and electrical boxes lined up on the grass. Alex thought that being a roofer he would have an advantage and Chelsia was sure that because her dad is a lineman that she would win this competition. The goal of the competition was find hidden electrical cords in the barrels which were full of peanuts and connect them to the poles. The lengths were all different and there was only one way that they could be connected. The first team that correctly connected the wires and hit the button would win POV and win the house guests contact with the outside world.
The teams each had different strategies. Amanda and Alex each searched for a wire and then Amanda started connecting wires. Natalie and Matt dumped out and found all the wires before they started connecting them. James didn't have a plan...he admitted he was lost and didn't have a clue what to do. Sharon later said that this was a mental competition, and not a physical one which proved to be true for her and Josh who solved the puzzle first and won the POV, right after Josh slipped and fell on the way to the button.
After Sharon and Josh were crowned the POV winners the house guests were excited to see the new screen light up with the latest news flashes. They found out McCain was in the lead which Amanda jumped up and down and cheered too. James said that he didn't know Amanda was republican, but then he didn't know she was "anything". When the screen let the house guests in on Obama's growing lead of Clinton she again cheered. Adam claimed she was "nuts". The next message was a Britney Spears update which thrilled Josh who admitted to being a Britney junkie. Lastly the screen told them that, "The Hudson River virus is threatening those cut off from the outside world." Too bad it wasn't that exciting. Just a hidden ad for the next episode of Jericho.
The house guests immediately thought this had something to do with them and they were stumped. James admitted that it started his mind thinking about what it could mean and he went back to the four colored toy in the hamster cage. He pointed out that the same four colors were used in the POV competition. Very good thinking, but he still hasn't figured out what it all means.
Later on in the Big Brother house, Allison is out running again around the backyard venting to Sharon who is just sitting there on some of the furniture. We see Allison run inside and hear Sharon's voice over telling us that Allison all of a sudden stopped and said that she had to go to the diary room. Allison buzzes the diary rooms bell and is let in. We can't see her but we hear her saying that she is having an allergic reaction and that she needs help, wants a shot from the EpiPen. The nurse comes in, introduces herself and asks her what she thinks she is having an allergic reaction too. She says she doesn't know but that her tongue is swelling and she can't breathe.
Right on the other side of the wall in the kitchen Natalie and Amanda are talking. Amanda seems weak and says that she doesn't feel good and needs sugar. She is hardly eating any slop and is hypoglycemic. They start walking out of the kitchen when Amanda tells her again that she doesn't feel good and passes out. Natalie at first asks her if she is OK, then runs outside and yells for everyone to come help because Amanda has, "fainted or something." The rest of the house runs in and flocks around Amanda trying to revive her just as she begins having a seizure. They start pushing the panic button and the nurse runs in from the diary room with Allison to check on Amanda. She asks for a glass of milk or juice to which they point out they have no glasses and someone yelled to get a bowl. It seems as if they were out of milk and juice because someone hands the nurse a bottle of water instead. James is sitting behind Amanda talking to her and cradling her head while the nurse is putting something in her mouth and trying to make her drink water. Finally Amanda comes too and doesn't have a clue where she is or what is going on. The paramedics get there and only when the nurse tells them that she was in with Allison when they yelled for Amanda does anyone realize Allison is not here. Poor Allison.
After both women are taken to the hospital the house guests wonder what it all means. Most of them think that the ladies will be back. Adam and Matt are amazing at how James stepped up to the plate. Adam says that James is a better man than him and that he wouldn't have done it. James who seems clearly shaken up states that he only did what anyone would do. Josh is feeling very guilty for his comments to Amanda and he can not wait for her to get back in the house. Alex also feels bad and says that though they have had their differences, that he just wants her to come back and be okay.
Slowly they did come back. First Amanda who still seemed shaken and was shocked to hear that Allison had an allergic reaction to something at the same time she went down. Amanda asked for and was given a chunky peanut butter sandwich. (Watch for that to be a question on a future episode of Big Brother.) Finally Allison came back in and didn't seem phased in the least. I guess her allergic reaction didn't leave her nearly as drained as Amanda's low blood sugar left her.
After everyone went their own way Allison and Amanda talked about how they both realized that their actions in the house does not represent who they really are. Sheila then came in and they all had a bonding session complete with a group hug....how sweet.
Finally we get to the POV ceremony. Sharon and Joshuah discuss the idea of saving one of the power couples to create an ally later on in the game. When given a chance to speak both pairs say the same thing. They know that the couple want to respect the house guests decision but they are not ready to go home yet. Very unoriginal. Fact is though, and everyone knows it, the couple that holds POV has already made up their mind at this point and there is no changing it.
Sure enough Josh and Sharon choose not to use the POV and keep the nominations the way they are, out of respect for Chelsia and James of course.
