Hi there MBB readers! It’s me, Dan, filling in for vacationing Romi with last night’s episode summary. So let’s look at all the things that happened last night! Sharon and Ryan formed a secret side alliance while James shed some tears to win over Adam’s favor and prevent the inevitability of his being put on the block this week. What James didn’t count on, though, was Natalie and her “Team Christ” pal Ryan also guiding Adam in his nominations. Was James able to sway Adam and, if so, how will that effect Adam’s “Team Christ” status? Of course we also had the food competition which involved mashed potatoes and gravy but in a way you’d never have expected! Finally, Natalie and James had it out in Adam’s HOH room and Natalie showed she is more powerful in this game than anyone ever expected! And of course, the episode ended with Adam’s surprising nominations! Want the details of all of this along with extended videos of all that went down in Adam's HOH bedroom with Nat and James? Read on!

Adam wins HOH
Sunday’s episode begins with a review of Joshuah’s exit and his ‘inspirational’ speech upon his exit. Sharon is, of course, devastated while Adam is loving it in the DR and even brings up Sharon’s career as a Marine by saying “Bring it on Marine!” Ryan, in the DR, finds it funny that Josh tries to change personalities by being inspirational when the rest of the game all he has tried to do is tear people down (agreed Ryan! I loved this moment of last night’s show!)
We also get a review of Adam’s win at the HOH competition. Natalie says she had a dream three nights before that Adam would win HOH so God must be talking to her about the game (good ole Natalie!). Natalie also believes that God is on Team Christ’s side in the game. Later, when the group sees Adam’s HOH room, everyone notices there is no baby food this time! Adam gets a letter from his mom who says she watches him all the time on the 24/7 Live Feeds but she closes her eyes whenever he picks his nose (I wonder what she does when he is constantly playing with himself every night on the feeds LOL). Also supposedly all the Philly “babes” want dates with Adam upon his return (well alright then!).
April Fools’ Day Pranks
Finally BB decided to show the April Fools’ Day pranks that were played on Sheila last week (and strategically edited around Josh’s presence as he was still in the house and in on some of the pranks that occurred that you didn’t see in tonight’s episode). We see Sheila’s room get toilet papered, a prank pulled on her in the storage room, were reminded of the HGs POV prank on her a couple of weeks ago and finally, we see James pour flour on her in the backyard (which I personally thought went one step too far. It’s one thing to pull a prank on someone, it’s another to actually pour something over someone even if it was just flour). Sheila says in the DR that she is used to pranks with a 16 year old son and it doesn’t bother her but you could tell she was not thrilled with being the only one picked on (and I found this to be pitiful also. If you’re going to play April Fools’ jokes, play them on everyone equally, not just one HG!).
Later, we see Sheila and Adam having a touching moment regarding missing their families. Sheila says in the DR that Adam is the only one that she can trust and talk to in the house. This will become rather prophetic later in the episode when Adam’s nominations are revealed!
Food Competition
This week’s food competition required the HGs to make a riverbed of mashed potatoes to allow for gravy to flow to containers that would win the HGs food for the week. BB warns that if they get no gravy to any containers, they are all on slop for the week. At first the HGs think the competition will be easy but they soon find that the slippery nature of the mashed potatoes proved daunting. Along with the normal food items that could be won, BB also offered the HGs 3 bonus items to play for: A feast, a bbq grill and outdoor toys.
After much messiness, Sheila and Natalie begin to ladle out the gravy to flow to the containers. The first container to fill was meat and fish, next was desserts and snacks, followed by the outdoor toys which were won because Ryan guided the mashed potatoes to them, much to Nat’s chagrin. After that, dairy and eggs were won followed by bread and pasta. In the last seconds of the competition, the HGs went for the bbq grill and even though time officially ran out, BB allowed the HGs to win the bbq grill after the container filled. Items that were not won in this competition were Beer and soda, fruits and veggies and the feast. It should be interesting to see the house without beer and soda this week!
Who is Loyal to who?
Ryan and Sharon formed a super secret side alliance in which they both claim they will not put the other up (yeah right!) and Ryan even said “We could have the two nicest people in the house in the final two.” Because of this alliance, Ryan convinces Adam to put up Sheila thinking it would be a done deal that Adam would put up Sheila and James and not Sharon.
Sharon, meanwhile, has become closer to James since they both lost their partners. Since James and Sharon still share the couch beds in the den, Sharon has become “Mama Sharon” to James, making sure he eats and keeps up his energy even with all the negativity towards him in the house.
Natalie, Adam and Ryan take notice of Sheila’s presence with Sharon and James in the hot tub. They see her as the pawn in Team Christ and will simply use her for her vote until it’s time to cut her loose. It becomes apparent that Natalie has become the leader of Team Christ (formerly The Bros) as Adam and Ryan seem to take their lead from her. This becomes even more apparent later in the episode.
Later, Adam ‘jokes’ about the possibility of Sheila being nominated. Sheila, of course, loses it about this but tells Adam to do what he’s got to do. In the DR, Adam makes this profound bit of wisdom: “Most truth is spoken through jest, my friends.” OK Adam!
James, James and More James!
After the HOH competition, James confides to Sharon that he knows he’s the target once again. Sharon says she hates everyone that’s in the house now (excluding James? She didn’t really say LOL). James at first gives up but then after some time alone, summons his alter ego “Crazy James” and makes the claim in the DR that Crazy James will win Big Brother! He then sets his sights on swaying Adam against nominating him, not counting on powerful Natalie blocking his path!
Adam does feel bad for the isolation James feels. James tries to convince Adam not to put him up but clams up when Ryan enters the kitchen. Ryan still hears and goes straight to Nat. Later, in the HOH, Adam reveals to Ryan and Nat that he wants to put up Sheila and Sharon. Ryan and Nat know that if James isn’t up and wins POV, one of them will go up.
James comes up to the HOH and pleads his case again, saying trust me or don’t. Why vote me back in the game if you don’t want to work with me (it was because of the unknown, James). Natalie comes up and she and James get into it. He says he wants Adam’s trust, not Nat’s. Adam says it’s ‘too little too late.’ James cries and says he feels isolated. Adam says “this is just how the game went down.” Natalie leaves. James says in DR the tears were real and he’s not cried like that since his father died when he was 14. Adam says he won’t put James up, but James cannot use the POV if he wins it. James and Adam make the deal.
Here’s some videos of how this went down with MUCH more detail than was shown on the show! This is what you can get when you subscribe to the 24/7 Live Feeds!
Adam’s Nominations
Finally, we have the nomination ceremony. Adam says in voiceover that he needs to think of what’s best for him, not best for everyone else. Natalie is the first safe, with Ryan second and James last. Sharon and Sheila nominated. Adam claims he is fast forwarding what would have happened if James won POV anyway and says if they want James up, win POV and use it and he will go up. Sheila says to Adam that he’s the biggest jerk in the house. Ryan claims this will kill Adam in the game as he picked James over him and Natalie.
And that does it for this episode summary! Next, we’ll have the POV and it is sure to be exciting! Want to know what happens, long before it airs? Get the CBS.com 24/7 Live Feeds today!
Sorry for the lack of pictures in this summary but hopefully the videos and this little picture will help make up for it :) Enjoy James fans!
