Well MBBers, it was quite the night in the Big Brother universe last night, wasn’t it? I have a lot to talk about in this Live Feeds Update and not just about what went on in the HOH competition. I have some thoughts on the Alex vs. James return to the game debacle that I will share with you in a special report at the beginning of this article. I’m sure, like me, you were not happy with the way things went down last night. I just feel it is something on everyone’s mind and that is why I wanted to share my thoughts with you on the situation. Feel free to agree or disagree
As for the house happenings, we have a new HOH after the almost 5 hour long Big Brother Disco endurance competition (if you read this article, it will contain the spoiler of who won HOH and how that competition ended). After the comp, the aftereffects were felt as the HGs scrambled to figure out who the new HOH will nominate as well as who were the three HGs that did not vote to bring James back into the game. James and Chelsia were reunited and Josh made amends (for now!) with Natalie.

SPECIAL REPORT: Dan’s thoughts on Alex vs. James returning to the house
Before I get to today’s Live Feeds Update, I wanted to offer my thoughts on what went down last night on the show. First and foremost, I have never been a big fan of HGs being allowed to return to the game in the first place because I think it puts a bad mark on the game to begin with. This is how I felt when the game was a single person game. I was excited when I found out that HGs like Parker and Alex would have a chance to return to the game as they really did not deserve to go, they were just residual effects of their partners’ evictions.
With that being said, I was happy that Big Brother was going to give America the chance to put a HG back in the house this season. My choice was Alex, who I thought got the worst treatment in his eviction and deserved his fair shot in the game. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like James, BUT James did not deserve to be brought back into the game and here are my reasons why:
The game of Big Brother when it is a single person game is similar to that of Survivor: outwit, outplay, outlast. James was outwitted and outplayed by “The Bros” alliance. He deserved to go (even though I am not a fan of the back door move) because he made a CHOICE to switch alliances for the sake of Chelsia. He could have stayed with The Bros and been safe, but he chose to join Chelsia’s alliance with Josh instead and paid the price. For that reason, James should be gone right now.
Anyone who hasn’t figured out why Big Brother made this last minute change in their game plan has obviously not watched this show for very long. The producers knew that if they went with America’s choice (which they still should have!), Alex would have immediately went with The Bros alliance and for the next four evictions they would have just picked off Josh’s alliance. The producers figured (wrongly!) that that would be ‘boring’ and knew that putting James back in would guarantee DRAMA, which it will, but not in just the way they think. America is LIVID with this ultimate betrayal. If you feel like you were played, YOU WERE! Big Brother placated America by offering the HGs the choice between James and a “mystery House Guest” knowing that the house would NEVER go with an unknown over a known choice. Heck, the HGs think the mystery HG was Jen from Big Brother 8! That’s how confused they were by the whole thing being dropped on them so quickly.
I was not happy at all with the producers’ decision to play America like this. It made them look like fools in that they sequestered all of these previous HGs for nothing and America’s choice meant nothing! If Big Brother was worried about losing viewers and ratings, this was not the thing to do to alleviate this from happening. This was the worst move made in the history of Big Brother and, for once, it wasn’t even made by a House Guest.
And now for today’s Live Feeds Update as scheduled:
3/12 (9:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M. BB time)
DAY 35 in the Big Brother 9 House
*Backyard Discussions – Special HOH Endurance Comp Edition* Big Brother Disco is still going on at the beginning of this feeds update and James and Natalie are the final two left in the competition. The other HGs are outside watching as the competition continues. Chelsia has just fallen off and is very unhappy about it. James jokes around saying he will jump off, but then says he’s just kidding, he knows he can’t. Natalie wishes she had some water, but it’s not allowed as long as they are in the competition. James thinks he’s going to pee his pants. It becomes very apparent which alliance is rooting for James and which is rooting for Natalie. James keeps spitting and Ryan says “James when you fall, I mean if you fall, you’re going to fall into a big wad of spit!”
When some of the HGs talk game, James admonishes them telling them he needs quiet and that this isn’t the time or the place. James and Nat say they will go to 7 hours and figure it out then (that’s not what happens though!). James says if he’s going to be intimidating he might as well win something.

Matt and Ryan place a bet that Josh is going to go off on Sheila (DUH!). Ryan and James get into a little verbal sparring where Ryan says he knows James will put him up and James says “Well, you put me up” and Ryan says “Well, you would have voted me out the week before!” James keeps singing out of boredom and Big Brother continues to ask him to please stop singing! Matt gives Natalie silent encouragement via hand signals.
Natalie calls out James for the pickle juice incident saying she did not deserve such treatment. James says “Think I deserved to leave?” Natalie pauses and then says “No” (but I think the pause speaks volumes!). James continues to tell Nat that he will not give up, he has a second chance and he’s not going to waste it. Natalie responds with “I know.” James promises Natalie he will not put up her or Matt this week, saying they are not on his radar this week. Then everyone in the Josh alliance tries to get Natalie to know she’s fine this week. Natalie lets Josh know she’s still not happy with him bringing her Mom into things. Josh apologizes. James tells Nat he did not come back in to screw people over right off the bat the way he was screwed (he uses a different word for screwed, but you get the gist LOL).

Natalie begins to break down, feeling like she is going to throw up. Natalie doesn’t want to let go because she fears for Matt being nominated. She finally drops out of feeling ill and vomits upon landing on the tarp : (

After the comp ends, Josh IMMEDIATELY starts trying to make a deal with James (Josh makes ME want to vomit! Love his concern for Natalie, what an ass!) but James is having none of it. James gives Natalie a hug attempting to calm her down, telling her she did a good job.
A few minutes after the comp ends, Big Brother alerts the HG that it is a lock down so that they can dismantle the Disco set. So, we now move indoors….
*Den Doings* James and Chelsia move into the Den for Chelsia to congratulate James and talk game. When she hugs him, you can hear James’ heart beating a mile a minute from the competition.
Later, Natalie and Josh discuss who voted for the mystery guest over James, both telling each other it wasn’t them so they shouldn’t have to worry. Josh says he won’t care if James puts him up (sure he doesn’t!) Josh says if James hadn’t come back, she definitely would have won the HOH (duh!).
Josh, James, Chelsia and Sharon all think the mystery HG was Jen from Big Brother 8 (if they had actually LISTENED to Julie, she said to them it was a previously evicted HG from their season!). When Matt comes in, James asks what’s going on with him and Natalie and Matt replies that Natalie just has his back in the game, nothing more. James lets Matt know that if he honors his deal with Natalie and doesn’t put him up that Matt and Nat better not screw him next week!
Matt can’t figure out why Natalie loves him so much and why she did it for him. He says he doesn’t even think his mother would do that for him LOL
*Kitchen Talk* The HGs move inside after the Disco Ball competition. There is lots of congratulating Natalie on how long she persevered and talk of how sick to their stomachs the comp made everyone feel. James tells everyone what it’s like to get evicted and what the rest of the BB compound looks like as well as what they did to him to put him in the mystery box. Chelsia commenting how weird it is that nobody is gone (not just for her!). Chels thinks they were going to put them back into couples (that’s not going to happen, at least I don’t think it will!). Sharon says at least James got voted back in, she just got thrown back in LOL
The HGs talk about how they feel America is going to be a HUGE part of this season (yeah, not so much!).
*Sauna Strategy* Ryan and Natalie think the mystery HG was Allison from their season (at least THEY were listening, just they were wrong on who it was).
Later, Natalie and Josh have a conversation about who the third person that didn’t vote for James to come back was. They guess that it was Adam, but it was actually Sheila. Josh CLAIMS that if they are both in the game next week, he will ‘let’ her win HOH (sure he will!). Natalie doesn’t feel that anyone deserves to be back doored. Josh keeps apologizing to Natalie for his actions last week. Josh and Natalie figure out that Sheila has been playing both sides and Sheila is the next on Josh’s radar (poor Sheila!). Josh doesn’t think what he said to Nat about her Mom will be on tv (like he knows what will and won’t be!).
Picture of the day: Josh is back to business as usual!
