LittleBrother's 24/7 Live Feed Update: Weekend Summary

Woah. Just WOAH. I am going to be honest, here - although I have been enjoying this season of Big Brother a lot, I thought I was at the point where nothing could really surprise me anymore.  I know we're supposed to "expect the unexpected" and everything, but I didn't think I was going to be ready for some of the weird things that came as a result of this PoV... and I definitely didn't expect the new alliances that emerged in the aftermath.

For some insane SPOILERs, please read on... I am also trying a new format for my 24/7 Live Feed updates, where I go through each of the remaining House Guests and give updates on everything - from strategy to showmances to annoying things they're wearing to recent highlights...


The Important Details

OK - we know that Daniele won HoH, and put Jen and Kail up on the block.  What's just crazy, though, is the PoV competition... the winner was Jen (this totally secures my love of her - she's a self-absorbed bitch, sure, but she knows when to pull out all of the necessary stops and step up.  She also owns her bitchery - yes, it's a word - and I have to respect that)... but the aftermath of the PoV competition has thrown the House into a weird tailspin.

I can't wait to see the episode where all of this happens to get the specific details, but here's what I have been able to gather on the Feeds:

  • Daniele, Jen, Kail and Zach are stuck in rabbit suits until Thursday's live show.


  • Jen sacrificed half her winnings. (I am not sure how this works... I am assuming that, no matter what Jen wins or how she places overall, she has to take 50% of it.)

  • Jameka and Kail cannot compete in HoH for 5 weeks. (Kail had better make herself comfy up on the block... and in many ways this may help Jameka out as well. They'd better do well in the PoV competitions!)

  • Kail is on slop for the remainder of the game. Jen is on slop for 30 days. (This entire experience is HELL for Kail.)

  • Dustin was out first and has no penalties.

  • Daniele, Jameka, Jen, Kail and Zach must have goop poured over them, every hour, for 24 hours. From what I can tell, this goop contains manure, lotion, dirt, and slop. Jameka hates the goop and needs a countdown every time she has to dump it on herself. Every hour, a buzzer has been going off and they go in the backyard for their punishment. It's annoying for them because they have to essentially have a couple dozen showers throughout the day!

  • There was apparently some sort of $10,000 prize that no one took.

The Flip-Flopping, Twisting, and Shifting of Alliances

After Jen's PoV win, Dick and Daniele's distrust of Eric continues to intensify and they decide it's time to take action. I have to hand it to those two for figuring out that something is up... even though they obviously don't know the whole story. Poor Eric - it looks like a lot of the choices that the viewers have made for him are really throwing a wrench in his game.

Here's a rundown of some of the major alliance shifts:

  • I can't even believe I am typing this, but Jen and Dick have called a truce. They even hugged.

  • To add to the madness, Jen was invited to an LNC meeting to discuss back dooring Eric, and was basically treated like the guest of honor!

  • Jen and Daniele talked strategy and even joked about their new "alliance"!

  • Jessica is starting to doubt Eric a bit, but still seems to be holding on to their partnership. Time will tell.

  • Eric and Amber, freshly shunned from recent meetings, are trying to rope in Kail & Zach and hang on to Jess and Dustin to keep a majority in the house.
Of course, Dick, Daniele, and the LNC welcoming Jen with open arms isn't without its strategic reasoning.  With Jen in a position of power (PoV), and a proven track record as a survivor, she's the right person to align with at the moment.  Also, she brings with her information on Eric to help fuel the quest to have him evicted (which is in turn in HER best interest, as it saves Kail for another week), and - most importantly - everyone wants to sit next to her in the Final Two at this point. It's a slam-dunk win for the person she takes with her... or is it? (Part of me kinda thinks she could beat Zach or Kail right now, simply because she is such a fighter.)


House Guest Report Card

Here's how each of the House Guests have been doing, what they have been up to, and where they are probably headed after this weekend's events:

AMBER
The Queen of Tears hasn't changed her game that drastically - she has basically latched herself onto Eric, now, and is in on the plan to put Dick and Daniele up on the chopping block next week if possible. She's been spared all of the PoV Punishment madness, but she somehow manages to make it seem like she's the victim 24/7. If Team Eric wins out, I can see her being towed along to the Final Four at least... if Team Dick & Daniele ("D&D") is victorious, her days are numbered.

DANIELE
Daniele is still playing hard and strong, and is definitely, 100% with her dad, now. It's obvious that she doesn't trust anyone but him, and is at the forefront of Operation Evict Eric.  She's been involved in a lot of strategy talk with the group, Dick, and Jen and has to make the decision of who to put up when Jen takes herself off the block. At this point, all signs are pointing to Eric. She really needs to stop talking about how bad of a decision it was to evict Nick. We get it, move on. She also needs to stop whining about how much she hates everyone in the house, and how she has no friends. If she can keep her game face on and catch a few lucky breaks, I think she may just win it.

DICK
Besides making a truce (we'll see for how long!) with Jen, Dick has been playing a pretty consistent game. He is enraged at Eric's possible / probable betrayal, and has spent most of the weekend selling his case to Jameka and Jessica.  Between these seminars to the neutral House Guests, he's been playing the Supportive Father to Dani and telling her to stay the course, stay focused, and stay strong.  If they pull this off and he wins HoH next week, I am willing to bet that we'll see Amber and Dustin on the block. (Well, maybe not together... one of the nominees has to be Kail. It just wouldn't be right, otherwise.)

DUSTIN
My boy is in trouble. He's #2 on Team D&D's death list, and has been strutting around the house in a cape and crown again. Since his egotistical reign as HoH, and his subsequently greedy display at the Art Gallery PoV competition, he's been in some pretty hot water.  He attended the LNC meeting to discuss back dooring Eric because he claimed that he was "out of the loop and needed more information"... the others figured it was all to take back to Dustin.  He's been linked to Kail through Jen's reports as well, and this isn't making D&D very happy with him at all. However, if Team Eric pulls it off this week, he's in a sweet position.

ERIC
This week's Target Extraordinaire. I don't envy his position at all... his alliance wants to back door him, his confidante (Jen) sold him out on past agreements, his current buddy (Jessica) is doubting him, and he can't make any rash decisions because there is always the possibility that the viewers with mess him up again.  He's doing a good job at sticking to his story, though, and keeping his head in the game. He has started to get a bit sketchy, though, and Daniele called him on his intensified mania and panic. All I can say is "good luck, Eric"... if he can dodge this massive bullet he just might have a chance. He's also called the new alliance of convenience between Dick, Jen, and Daniele "embarrassing".

JAMEKA
She's staying neutral (surprise!), and isn't too keen on this back dooring idea. Dick has been working on her all weekend and, if that doesn't sway her, the plan is to guilt trip her due to her involvement in Nick's eviction. she's voiced her concerns loud and clear, and has made it known that she needs evidence before she makes another decision in this game. From what I can see in the Feeds, however, she seems to be leaning more toward Amber, Jessica, Dustin, and Eric... she's going to be the swing vote if Daniele decides to put up Eric. The picture below is of Jameka preparing for the Veto Competition (apparently it was croquet-related).

JEN
From "Most Hated" to "Most Coveted" in mere seconds. This girl is part cockroach, because she will. Not. Die.  She's built a truce with Dick, spilled to Daniele and talked strategy, and is still managing to keep Kail in her back pocket. She's done all of this without changing much of who she is, either (which I guess is easy to do when you're basically only one dimension to begin with).  Either way, I think the heat is going to be off Jen for awhile, now that the LNC is starting to break into factions... she's going to be a needed vote, and an even better choice to take to the finals.

JESSICA
Operation Evict Eric has forced Jessica into the game this weekend - she's been reporting back to Eric, feeling guilt for it, then questioning him left, right, and center about his trustworthiness. She's in a tough spot at the moment... she wants to trust Eric and go further in the game with him, but the evidence stacked against him is starting to look a bit too difficult to simply ignore. I think she'll stick with Jameka in the end, and really... no matter how tough a decision this will be for her, she has one thing going for her: neither side wants her gone, and that is always powerful place to be.

KAIL
Oh my gosh, this woman is doomed. She's basically lost all hope, talks about not wanting to be in sequester (and yet won't give up), is being used all over the place... and no one really likes her. She thinks she can trust Jen. She thinks she can trust Dustin. She thinks she can trust Eric. At the end of the day, however, the simple fact remains that she can't be HoH for the next FIVE WEEKS, is on slop until she has to go home, and she STILL didn't win the PoV this week. I guess the only claim to fame for her is going to be the fact that she is going to be the first Big Brother contestant to be up on the chopping block for eight thousand consecutive weeks!

ZACH
Oblivious, oblivious, oblivious. This guy is still mega creepy, but he is actually in an OK spot.  Most of the heat has been taken off of him at the moment (unless, of course, D&D see it as futile to put Eric up and decide to use him as a safer target this week)... but he still hasn't found an alliance to stick with.  Part of me kind of wants him to win the HoH to see what he would do. He's so random, he'd probably put up opposing people, like Dick and Eric, just because he wants to see "what happens". The longer this guy is in the house, by the way, the weirder he gets.
