Dan's Final 24/7 Live Feed Update |
 Well MBB readers, hard to believe but this is my final Live Feeds Update of Big Brother 8 (Little Brother will have THE final Live Feeds Update of the season tomorrow!) I have a rather subdued and calm update for you Donato wise. This update encapsulates the three hours BEFORE the two faced the jury. In this update, D/D are really bored and play an endless game of cards to pass the time, they eat some mac and cheese with taco meat, they do some more HG bashing and they sleep. Oh and Dick smokes about 5 cigs LOL and Dani applies her makeup and curls her hair in anticipation of the jury. I also have managed to get 2 Dick’s Quotable Quotes from this period of boredom.
I also have a HUGE spoiler section regarding the jury’s questioning of the Donatos for you. While BB opted NOT to show this on the feeds this year, the fallout once the feeds came back was evident. This spoiler section will reveal pretty much in the Donatos’ minds (and mine as well after hearing them talk about it), who will win Big Brother 8. So if you want to wait until Tuesday to know, don’t read the spoiler section!

9/15 (9:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M. BB time)
DAY 78 in the Big Brother 8 House
*Kitchen Talk* Dick is lying on the floor while Daniele is making mac and cheese with taco meat (which, strangely, doesn’t sound half bad!) for dinner. The two are anticipating the questioning by the jury set to happen at midnight. The two do some Zach bashing and Eric bashing then sit at the table and eat while playing cards. Daniele wonders who America’s favorite HG was at CBS.com. (Hilariously, it looks as if Dick has attempted to fix the kitchen trash can as the huge dent has been pushed out but the poor trash can will definitely be put to rest in a few days LOL). D/D joke about Jen’s unitard being sold on ebay (I’ll spare you what they said about it LOL).
Another mystery solved: D/D discuss how “Jeniune” was copyrighted which was why we didn’t see Jen wearing those shirts later in the season. So it wasn’t that she had all of her shirts taken away, just the Jenuine ones.
Dick and Dani play more cards in anticipation of the jury’s questions. Dani says “Let’s get this show on the road!” Dick says “We’ve got another couple of hours yet” then we get more Jen bashing.
Dick tries to get Daniele to play more card games or Yahtzee but she doesn’t want to so he plays with the dice by himself and mumbles things to himself about it not mattering who wins.
Dick: “I’m bored and you’re bored, doing something might help with that!”
Apparently, this is one of the things they did LOL
Dick’s Quotable Quote (to feed watchers): “If you’re watching this, go to your local tavern and get yourself a beer…and a Jager bomb because that’s what I’d do if I could right now!”
Daniele says “Look up Vincent Donato on Myspace and harass him.” LOL; Dick and Dani talk about the things they will do and have missed being in the BB house. The biggest thing they both miss is driving!

Later, just before going to face the jury, Daniele tells Dick ‘Please don’t say anything about my age again!’ Dick says “I won’t!”
*Bedroom Discussions* Daniele gets bored with cards and goes and lies down in bed. Dick goes out to the BY for another smoke.
Later, Dick goes and lies down in the Round Bedroom. The feeds then go back and forth from Dick lying down to Daniele lying down in the Big Bedroom. Dick begins snoring as he snoozes away.
Dick is later called to the Diary Room. With that, Daniele awakens and goes to the bathroom.
*Bathroom Banter* Daniele reapplies her makeup and does her hair again after awakening. Dick arrives from the DR and says that at midnight, the questioning will begin and tries to give Daniele a pep talk.
Dick brushes his teeth and puts on his bright red shirt for the jury.
*Upstairs/Downstairs* Dick and Daniele go to the Living Room and sit in two chairs under the plasma tv, Dick in the purple one and Dani in the black one. They discuss what they think the jury will ask. The questioning is almost ready to begin!
*Backyard Discussions* Dick goes into the BY for some smoking, coughing and spitting LOL
Later, he goes out for another smoke and repeats the process. Then he comments on Dani’s having not felt well since Thursday by saying “She should be happy we won. I understand not feeling well, but God damn!”
Next, Dick lies down with his arms crossed over his stomach in deep thought and concentration.
My Final Dick’s Quotable Quote! “This is a pathetic Showtime show! I’m going to go lie down!”
*Spoiler Section* THE JURY’S QUESTIONS:
This year, BB opted NOT to show the jury’s questions on the feeds (which, personally, I think is a major injustice to the fans, but I digress!), however, I do have some spoilers for you from what I was able to glean from D/D discussions about the questions after the feeds came back. If you want to wait until Tuesday to see this, stop reading now, you’ve been warned : )
1. Apparently, Amber attacked Daniele on a personal level and Dani is pissed about it. Amber was the most volatile of all of the jury members from what I can tell.
2. The jury accused Dani of riding Dick’s coat tails until the end and Dani says “It’s like I’m not my own person and they don’t even see the comps I won! They credit me with nothing!”
3. This one speaks for itself: Dani: “Cool that makes me feel terrific, every answer I have everyone’s laughing in the background because I’m such a joke sitting in the final 2!”
4. Dick talks to himself and says “Daniele will never see it this way, but I had a better relationship with these people than she did because of her and Nick” (he has a point even with how he treated them LOL)
So here’s my take on what I could tell from all of this: Dick’s won BB8. The jury basically saw Dick as the player of the game and Daniele being carried by Dick to the end while she sat in his shadow. The jury apparently had no respect for the comps Dani won and punished her for not getting to know them while hanging out with Nick most of the season (Dick even says to himself about that “I tried to warn her about the time with Nick, but she wouldn’t listen.”) Dick even cried this morning before going to sleep saying “If I were to win against anyone else, I’d be fucking celebrating but this is my daughter and she’s never going to understand.”
Dan’s Commentary: Keep in mind, Dick didn’t think he had a CHANCE of winning against Daniele –see the Dick’s Quotable Quotes- so he is anticipating the repercussions of what winning against her is going to do to their already fragile relationship…however, Dick did choose to bring her to the final two so he risked the fact that the jury would see it the way they did.
Honestly, I am shocked! I thought the jury was just going to ask them “Who do you want us to give it to?” and then give it to their choice, but obviously they respected Dick’s game a LOT more than I thought they would! Even though he’s not my first choice for who I wanted to win BB (and Dick fans, you all KNOW I was a major Dick fan before he started his tirades : ) ), out of him and Daniele, I have to say I agree with the jury, Dick deserves it more than Daniele does.
And in closing out my final Live Feeds Update of Big Brother 8 (Don’t worry, I’ll be back next year for BB9 : ) ), I’ll quote from Amber: “And that’s that!”
