Big Brother 8 - September 6th Re-Cap |
So, another Double Eviction has come and gone, and this year it was a Fast Forward situation. And let me tell you - it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to sit with a laptop and type out everything as it happens... when everything is happening at the speed of light. But I did my best, MBB readers, and am ready to report the Final Four to you all!
To see who went home, then won HoH, then won the PoV, then went home after THAT (phew!), read on!
There's one good thing about Double Eviction nights - besides being a rollercoaster of emotions, we don't have to sit through the annoying fluff pieces that we are usually subjected to on Thursdays.
So Julie brought out the big guns tonight - she looked FIERCE in her sparkly black outfit, with glitter all over her face. It looks like she came down from the shiny planet Chen to host tonight's episode. She managed to bust out one "But First", thankfully, which puts the grand total at 18.
But, as usual when it comes to the Chenbot, I digress.
As per usual, we are shown the two nominees (Jameka & Jessica), and hear their perspectives. As friends, both Jessica and Jameka have vowed to not campaign against each other. Jessica hopes that Dick and Daniele - the deciding voters - have her back and respect the fact that she didn't take either of them out when she had two chances.
This isn't the case, though - Dick and Daniele are plotting to get Jessica out, make Jameka feel downtrodden, and then cut a deal with Jameka at the last minute. Dick approaches Jameka in the backyard and tells her she's going home, and she starts to cry a little bit. She isn't ready to go, but she respects that Dick came to her. Jameka tells Jessica about this, which then gets to Eric. Jessica feels uneasy and thinks it's a trick, but this makes Eric feel even MORE confident in his & Jessica's place in the game.
The America's Player vote comes in, and Eric has to vote out Jameka. He is obviously relieved, and thanks the viewers for keeping Jessica in the House because he needs her by his side. Eric goes to Daniele and asks her, point blank: is Jessica going home? Daniele lies to his face, says no, and tells him that he has "no worries".
Then Julie drops the bomb - she tells the House Guests that it's a Double Eviction week, and that - at the end of the hour - only the Final Four will remain.
Julie tells the HGs... 2 of you leaving... down to Final 4.
It's time to vote.
Eric is pulled into the Diary Room first, and told that, after the HoH competition, the person that Julie asks to lead the House Guests back in from the backyard is who Eric needs to try and get evicted.
The votes:
ERIC - Jameka
DICK - Jessica
DANI - Jessica
Jessica is evicted and obviously upset. Crying, she hugs Eric and Jameka. Dick, Dani, and Zach apologize as they stand away from everything, and Jessica tells Jameka to "win that veto"!
Eric states that he's not surprised - he understands. He says that the one thing that angers him, though, is that Daniele didn't tell him the truth when he asked if Jessica was going home. He says that she robbed him of the chance to spend a last two days with Jessica before she was evicted.
Shaking, Jessica fumbles outside and greets Julie. She tells her that campaigning wouldn't have done anything, and figures that maybe she was voted me out when Dick & Daniele heard it was a Fast Forward situation. She says that the Donatos are seriously afraid of her. When asked about Eric, she says, "I love Eric, he has been so good to me... the feelings were real. Strategically were close, and we had a bond."
Jessica's taped goodbye messages:
DICK - I'm so sorry. Strategically this was the only way to go.
ZACH - Sorry to be the one who sent you. Hope you don't hold it against me.
DANI - It was fun getting to know you... this vote was all strategic.
JAMEKA - You're a champion... an all-American star... I'll miss you.
ERIC - You don't know how much I need you here. I'll be a maniac fighting for your honor. Jessica I love you.
We're launched right into the next HoH - it's a "Before or After" game, where the House Guests are given two events and have to decide if the first event was before or after the second. The person with the most correct answers after 8 questions wins. Zach had to sit out, and this was Jameka's last week where she was unable to compete, so it was down to Dick, Daniele, and Eric.
The questions:
Did Jen cry about her Memory Wall picture before or after Amber cried about her eviction nomination?
BEFORE - all got it right.
Was Amber handcuffed to Kail before or after Joe tasted anchovy cabbage pie?
AFTER - all got it right.
Did Jameka say during Veto Competition, "I want my actions aligned with my words" before or after Nick shaved his head?
BEFORE - only Daniele got it right.
Was Dustin's viewer question about his grey t-shirt before or after Jameka was asked if she'd forfeit 5 weeks of HoH competitions if she had the chance again?
AFTER - Dick / Eric score and the game is tied 3 apiece.
Did Jen say the House would be happier without negative vibes before or after she wore a unitard?
BEFORE - Eric & Daniele got it right.
Did Amber & Dustin win lobsters in the Food Competition before or after Zach streaked and jumped into the pool? BEFORE - Dick & Eric got it right... Eric is now in the lead.
Did Jen win her 2nd PoV before or after the House Guests witnessed the banner in the sky?
AFTER - Dick & Dani scored - everyone is tied at 5.
During the Veto meeting, did Amber say "this is an amazing journey" before or after she said that "obviously nobody wants to be up in this chair"?
BEFORE - only Dick got it right, and he WINS the HoH!!!!
Julie asks Daniele to lead the House Guests back in, which indicates to Eric that he needs to get her nominated. Hahaha... fat chance with Dick as HoH.
With no time to strategize, Dick puts Eric and Jameka on the block, then they are back outside to compete for the PoV.
This one is called "Niagara Balls", and over 5300 rubber balls come raining down on the House Guests. They have to gather 8 green balls and put them in a tube. The first to do so and hit their buzzer wins. Balls come raining down on them, and they scramble to find the green ones as they are being pelted. Jameka takes an early lead, and they try to disqualify her when a blue one finds its way into her tube... she screams that it bounced in, and keeps playing. It's all to no avail, though - Zach wins it.
They are rushed back in, and Zach stumbles over his words but manages to say that he made an oath to the group and the nominations are going to stay the same. Only the Donatos can vote, and they both vote for Eric... he's been evicted.
On his way out, he hugs Jameka and tells everyone that he doesn't hold any ill will. Daniele tells Eric to give Jen their regards, and he says hopefully she's dead from a shark attack (nice, Eric!).
Outside, Julie welcomes him and asks him about being America's Player and how that impacted his game. He says he is at peace, and overcame some difficult obstacles... the toughest part was balancing his personal goals with America's goals. If things went his way, events would have unfolded differently... Dustin and Amber would still be there, for one thing. He admits to having genuine, honest feelings for Jessica, and that their relationship did NOT get in the way with his game. Julie then informs Eric that he won $40,000 for completing his tasks.
And that's it - woah... a whirlwind.
So our Final Four is: Dick, Daniele, Jameka, and Zach. Who's next to go, and who is going to take it all in your opinion?
