Big Brother 8 - September 16th Re-Cap |
 Hey everyone! This is my last re-cap... and, strangely, it is of a re-cap episode. Interesting. This show aired last night, but by the time it was over I was pretty tired... and, well, I am not going to lie: I was pretty bored as well. Re-cap episodes are notoriously annoying, but this one didn't even have any new revelations / twists / secrets / anything extra to make it extra-special.
For my take on it, and to see what was re-visited, read on!!
Dick and Daniele are surprised with a sushi dinner and champagne. Luckily Daniele is barely of legal age to drink it! They toast, give credit where credit is due to Zach, and then proclaim themselves the best team to ever play Big Brother. They certainly are both the youngest & oldest players to make it to the end, anyways! Dick says that if their relationship can endure this 24/7, then this happy ending is only going to pave the way for a new beginning for both of them.
I was talking to Dan about this last night, and had to agree with him - this episode was pretty contrived and scripted. It was a lot of Dick & Daniele reminiscing in different rooms of the House, and then cut conveniently to flashbacks.
Flashbacks included:
- Dick vs. Jen... Dick vs. Jameka... Dick vs. Dustin... get the picture? I actually muted my television because I couldn't bear to watch him freak out on all of the House Guests again. Once was PLENTY.
- Nick & Daniele flirting / making out under the covers / making fun of each other. Nick gave Daniele the key to his heart (remember that cheeseball moment? It was, of course, the key to his suitcase).
- Dick fighting with Jen (the day she broke his cigarettes), and Jen crying over her horrible memory wall picture. Basically, scenes of Jen being weird.
- Moments of Jameka and Amber praying like mad to God.
- A replay of the montage where Amber decided that she was model material... cut to scenes of her filling her face and hanging out of her bathing suit. (As much as I disliked Amber, I still think this was a bit much... especially to have to watch twice.)
- A kind of cute segment of Jessica and Eric talking about moving to Kansas. Eric talking about the PROs (everything is cheaper and Jessica is there) and CONs (everything else).
And that's about it, really. Dick and Daniele bash their fellow House Guests some more (I guess it's how they bond), and Dick says that, with the money he is going to win, he wants to do the things he always dreamed of... like go on an African safari and finally visit Scandinavia. Daniele pokes him and says, "How do you plan on doing that with only $50,000!?"... now all they have to do is sit and wait and try to not go crazy before they speak to the Jury (who, by the way, they aren't scared of at all and are planning on laughing at to their faces, apparently)!!
