To Veto Or Not To Veto Week 8: Memphis Plays a Risky Game!

Welcome to the next to last To Veto Or Not To Veto of the season MBBers!  We are closing in on the endgame and with it we see Memphis making some dangerous choices to honor his Final 2 alliance with Dan!  Renny finds out that being nice and well loved are not attributes that will keep you in the house in the endgame!  Jerry realizes that all of his power is basically gone for the week and placed in Memphis and Dan’s hands.

Next  week is all about the Power of Veto so make sure to come back for the most explosive To Veto Or Not To Veto of the season: the final TVONT of the season!  Don’t worry, though, as I will also give you my season ending wrap up after finale night on Tuesday, September 16th!

Hang in there everyone as we get to our final 4, 3, 2 and winner over the course of the next two weeks!

Nomination Fallout

In flashback, we see that Memphis has deals with his “Renegade” partner, Dan; a final 2 deal with Jerry and a final 2 deal with Keesha.  We know that he’s not going to honor the deal with Jerry, but Memphis is hedging his bets and getting Keesha on his side just in case Dan goes home (Memphis is playing a GREAT game; the only thing is the jury might feel he ‘floated’ since he rarely won comps – even though Memphis has been purposely not winning comps in order to keep from making enemies).

Dan talks to Keesha telling her that they could both end up staying this week depending on the POV (and they are right!).  Keesha says the only sure thing is to win the POV yourself because anyone can go home (So true! This is the end game!).

Jerry and Dan talk in the HOH and Jerry says  he is one against four and he knows this.  Jerry is trying to cover his ‘alliance’ with Memphis not realizing that Memphis’ alliance with Dan is rock solid and Dan already knows all of this LOL

Jerry tells Renny that she is in danger if Dan or Memphis win the POV this week (Renny would go up if any of them win POV and use it.  Jerry would not put Memphis up).  Renny and Keesha have a discussion and Keesha tells us in HOH that she’s the one on the block but they all are vulnerable (welcome to the endgame, House Guests!).

Jerry, Dan and Memphis are trying to look up at something a plane was writing in the air and Jerry falls in the pool (this video is all over YouTube).  Memphis has to keep placating Jerry about their ‘alliance’ even though he has no intention of ever honoring it (better hope Jerry doesn’t win POV next week folks!  If he does, you’re screwed Memphis!).  We then see more filler about Dan irritating Renny *yawn*

Dan tries to get Renny ‘off her game’ in a conversation in the Hippie Room with Keesha and Memphis.  Renny ends up slapping Dan’s leg HARD and they joke about physical violence.  Renny says in the DR she is tired of Dan and ready for him to go home.

Power Of Veto Competiton

All five play Big Brother Nursery (basically the Morphomatic comp but they know it’s a male and female because they are combined the “parents” of the ‘hideous’ looking baby).  Dan is up first, followed by Jerry, Memphis, Renny and Keesha.

Renny took 23 minutes, Jerry took 8 minutes, Dan took almost 3 minutes, Memphis was 10 seconds less than Dan, and Keesha took 5 minutes to complete the competition so Memphis wins the Power of Veto!

 Veto Competiton Fallout

Dan says in the DR that Jerry has no power left this week, Memphis will take him down and he has to put Renny up.  Keesha is dismayed because she couldn’t save herself and Renny in the POV.

Memphis tells Dan if he takes him off the block, he needs to “stop the antics” and calm down.  Dan agrees that he will curb things and will honor their final 2 deal.  They make the deal to make sure Renny goes this week.  They know Renny could win with the jury easily (most definitely!).

Renny and Keesha talk in the kitchen and they know that Memphis will save Dan.  Keesha says she will try to talk to Memphis, but she doesn’t think it will do any good.  Renny knows she’s going home.

Memphis tells Keesha his plan and Keesh says she ‘hates trusting Dan.’  Keesha says she trusts Memphis but not Dan.

Everyone goes after Memphis for what he is going to do.  Renny asks to be saved for having not put him up previously in the game (being well loved screws you in the endgame Renny!) and Jerry tries to get Memphis also to leave Dan up and they will take care of Renny next week.  Memphis is afraid of ‘pissing off’ Keesha and/or Jerry for next week, but he has to play his game the way he sees fit and the best for him.

Veto Ceremony

Everyone thinks that they have deals with Memphis, but the only one who truly does and has all season is Dan.  Jerry says if Memphis takes Dan off, he will no longer have an alliance with him (ya think! But if Jerry gets POV next week, Memphis is screwed!).

Dan tells us it’s his 25th birthday and he would love the POV for his present and Keesha says the 4 of them have had each other’s backs all through the game and she won’t ask him to choose.

Memphis uses the POV on Dan because he thinks it is best for his game.  By default, Jerry has to nominate Renny.

Jerry says in DR he will get retribution against Memphis while Memphis thinks Jerry still thinks they have an alliance (Memphis, Jerry is not that stupid!)

So our nominees are now:

House Guest with the Best and Worst Game Play

Memphis wins both titles this week.  While I believe he has played a great game – throwing HOH all season to keep from making enemies, floating from alliance to alliance with ease while maintaining a solid Final 2 alliance with Dan that is still going on in the endgame – I also think that Memphis is playing a dangerous game with Jerry and Keesha.  By using the POV to save Dan, he showed his cards.  Everyone now knows he has a F2 alliance with Dan.  If Keesha or Jerry are to win POV next week, Memphis or Dan are going to go home and most likely it will be Memphis as Keesh and Jerry know that Dan is more disliked by the jury and thus a better person to sit next to in the final 2 than Memphis.  So Memphis, you are playing a great, yet risky and dangerous game.  I’d love to see either you or Dan go all the way and win, but next week’s POV will be the determining factor!

Who Is Going To The Jury House?

Sorry Renny, but you were too nice and well loved by the jury to be kept over Keesha.  In the end game, it’s the nice ones who go to the jury and the disliked HGs who remain as they will be ‘easier’ to beat in the final 2 (hence Evel Dick being kept all the weeks he was in season 8!).  I loved ya Renny and I along with many others believe you will win $25,000 as America’s Favorite House Guest on finale night.  I know I will be voting for you to win it!

And that does it for this week MBBers!  Make sure to come back next Tuesday for the final To Veto Or Not To Veto of Big Brother 10!
