To Veto Or Not To Veto Week 4: All Hell Breaks Loose on Keesha's Birthday!

Here we are again MBBers, another week of To Veto Or Not To Veto!  This week was C-R-A-Z- Y!  From huge fights interrupted briefly by the Happy Birthday song to a 10 second America’s Player hug that was flawless, this episode really delivered!  Jessie may have way overplayed his hand this week, though.  When will the poor boy learn to leave well enough alone when he is the pawn?  Yes, sometimes the pawn goes home but right now in the game, I think if he had laid low, he would have been safe.  I am really torn this week because I like both Memphis and Jessie so whoever goes this week, I’m not going to be a happy camper!

This week also brought us Libra picking a Hawaiian vacation over a letter from her children in the Power Of  Veto competition along with Michelle being the recipient of the USED unitard previously worn by Jen and Sheila in previous seasons (anyone else think it would have been funny to see Jessie have to wear that AND why is it always a female House Guest that has to wear it!?).  It was a week of fights, fun and birthdays!  It was also the hardest week so far to pick who is going home!  Read on for all the details and my take on all of the crazyness!

Nomination Fallout (and Pre Power of Veto Competition Fighting!)

In flashback, we see the nominations. April nominates Memphis she says because he won the car in week one (even she doesn’t believe that one!) and Jessie is nominated because he’s “a strong player.”  April continues her promise to ‘keep Jessie safe’ this week which Jessie plays up to the hilt with all around hugs with April and Ollie.

America’s Player, Dan, has to hug Jessie for 10 “awkward” seconds.  He goes to Jessie in the Sauna room and claims he needs to talk to him about something personal.  He confides in Jessie about missing his girlfriend.  He really lays it on thick!  It works as the hug is actually 12 seconds (though Jess is trying to pull away at 9 seconds HAHA).  Dan is thrilled that it worked!

Players picked to play in the POV competition: April who picks Michelle, Jessie who picks Libra, and Memphis who picks Jerry.  April chooses Renny to host the competition.

April is not sure if she can trust her alliance mates in the competition.  She thinks she cannot trust Libra but can trust Jerry (the HOH can always trust Jerry HAHA).  Libra doesn’t think April takes her seriously as a player in a discussion in the HOH room.  After Libra leaves, April says Libra is a bitch and has excuses for every comp she loses (well, that is true but April, you are a bigger biatch! LOL).  Libra goes to Keesha and they get into an April bashing session which is overheard by Jessie and Memphis.  Jessie runs up to April’s HOH room to tell everything he heard (which was a bad move!).  Ollie tells April “Do you see the true colors that come out when people get offended?” (referring to Libra and Keesha;  I think this alliance of seven has MAYBE one more week in it before it totally falls apart, maybe not even that long if what I think is going to happen this week happens….see my eviction prediction at the end of the article!).

After commercial, April confronts Libra while Keesha is in the kitchen relaying everything to Michelle and the others calling April a bitch (this is all happening on Keesha’s 30th birthday HAHA).

Keesha then goes off on April and says she shouldn’t be treated this way and April says she’s trying to handle things one at a time.   Jerry then comes in and tells people to shut up and Renny goes off.  Libra and Keesha are pissed that Jessie overheard their ‘private’ conversation (and you’ve seen every season of Big Brother, eh Libra?  Get a clue dear!).

Next, Libra gets into it with Jessie and keeps saying she’s “done with him.”  (She is just mad because what she said was actually told to April).  Michelle is tired of it all.  Keesha and Libra continue going off on Jessie (for telling the truth about what he heard, mind you!) and before the commercial Keesha and Libra tell Memphis he may live to see another day with Jessie retorting “You can’t get rid of me if I’m not on the block” (more on that later!).

Power of Veto Competition

The players play a form of hockey for prizes.  They can trade the POV for prizes they get for being eliminated each round.  Memphis goes first and gets the veto but not for long.  Michelle gets a Hawaiian vacation. Jessie is next and gets a slop surprise but trades it for the POV.    Next up April is eliminated and gets $10,000 in Big Brother gold bars.  She can give the bars to other HGs or keep the money for herself later in the game.  April decides to keep it.  Jerry is out next and gets a letter from home, but he takes the POV away from Jessie after making a deal with April to split the $10,000 three ways.  Libra gets the used red unitard worn by Jen and Sheila and trades it for the Hawaiian vacation that she takes away from Michelle who now has to wear the unitard (and is PISSED OFF ABOUT IT!).  Memphis gets a week off from slop but has to give a week of slop to another HG and he picks Jerry.  Jerry ‘wins’ the Power of Veto.

Veto Competition Fallout

Michelle is LIVID about having to wear the unitard and almost leaves the show over it.  She doesn’t even want comfort from Jessie until later that night.  She is very mad at Libra for choosing the Hawaiian vacation over a letter from her kids (which looks really bad, sorry Libra, but it does!  And cmon we all wanted to see Jessie wearing that unitard more than Michelle LOL).

Veto Ceremony

April is sure Jerry will not use the POV because of the deal she has with him.  Jessie says he knows why he’s on the block and respects whatever Jerry does.  Memphis says he and Jerry have had problems since day one and he knows Jerry won’t use it.  Jerry, of course, does not use the Power of Veto.

April says she is not there for her alliance to win the money, she’s there for herself to win the money (though she said on the feeds she doesn’t need the money HAHA).  Libra says she’s sick of Jessie and doesn’t care what April wants, he’s gone!

So our nominees remain:

House Guest with the Best Game Play

Actually I have to give it to Memphis this week!  Even though he’s on the block, he is playing it cool and laying low.  He did give Jerry a week on slop, but only because he knew he would not use the POV to save him.  Other than that, Memphis has let Jessie bury himself.  Memphis went from the ‘sure thing’ to go this week to actually possibly saving himself just by remaining silent and minding his own business this week!

House Guest with the Worst Game Play

Sorry Jessie, you’re still one of my favorites but I fear for you this week!  You really overplayed your hand going up to April and Ollie trying to bury Keesha and Libra.  That alliance is fractured but not enough to turn against each other just yet.  And with the Libra factor, you’ve really got yourself into a quandary!  I am sure America is going to vote for Jessie to go so either Dan is going to join Libra, Keesha and Renny in voting out Jessie in a 4-3 vote against April, Ollie and Jerry’s votes for Memphis OR Dan is going to stick out like a sore thumb if the house honors what April wants and all vote for Memphis except for Dan who will vote the way America wants and votes for Jessie.  I really fear for Dan in the game if the latter happens because Libra will go full tilt on her witch hunt against Dan as America’s Player if this happens!  We will see what happens on Thursday!

Who Is Going Home?

This week is TOUGH to predict.  I never underestimate the power of Libra, though, and I think if the vote were today, Jessie would be gone.  I’m still going to go out on a limb and say I think Jessie is a goner this week (sadly because I like both he and Memphis which is why I am abstaining from the America’s Player vote this season) but we all know that after a few days to calm down, the  house may decide not to ruffle April’s feathers yet and honor her wishes and vote out Memphis.  I’m really 50/50 this week!  It’s going to be close and come down to the wire!  I fear for what this week’s America’s Player vote may do to Dan’s game which has been perfect so far after a week one misstep!

And that does it for this week MBBers!  I'll see you next week for another edition of To Veto Or Not To Veto!
